Goldkind (“we,” “us”) is preparing to open a business in Arizona. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who is responsible. Goldkind Media LLC, an Arizona company, is currently in formation. Until it is formed, this website and our waitlist are operated by Goldkind’s founder, an individual based in the European Union. You can reach us at any time at privacy@goldkind.media.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you join our waitlist, we collect your email address and ZIP code, so we know you are nearby. You can also choose to give us your name.
If you join as a birth professional. We also collect your name, your role, and, if you choose, your business name or social media handle, how you would like to collaborate, and whether you would be open to signing a letter of intent.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We do not use this data to identify you.
Cookies. This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
How we use your information
- To send you updates about Goldkind’s planned opening in Arizona.
- To understand how much interest there is in Goldkind and where our interested customers are located, so we can plan our launch.
- To document that interest as part of our business planning, including in business plans and applications we submit to lawyers, lenders or government agencies (for example, U.S. immigration authorities reviewing our business).
- If you join as a birth professional, to contact you personally about working together.
- To keep our website secure and working properly.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising. We share it only in these cases:
- Service providers that help us run this website and our waitlist. Our website and signup form are hosted by Netlify, Inc. If we later use an email service to send updates, it will receive your email address so it can deliver them.
- Advisors and authorities, for business planning. As described above, we may share waitlist information, such as the number of signups, ZIP codes and, where relevant, names, as well as the names, roles and businesses of birth professionals who want to collaborate with us, with our attorneys, accountants, lenders and U.S. government agencies to show interest in our business.
- Legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
- Goldkind Media LLC. Once Goldkind Media LLC is formed, it will take over this website and the waitlist and become responsible for your information. We will update this policy when that happens.
Where your information is stored
Our hosting provider, Netlify, stores your information in the United States. The United States may not offer the same level of data protection as the European Union. By joining our waitlist, you consent to your information being stored and processed there.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you are on our waitlist and for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes above, including the review of any business or government application. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe: every email from us includes a link to unsubscribe.
- Access, correction or deletion: email us at privacy@goldkind.media and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws. Contact us and we will honor them as required.
EU data protection (GDPR)
Because our founder is currently based in the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to how we handle your information.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you give when you join the waitlist (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Technical data needed to deliver and secure this website is processed based on our legitimate interest in running it safely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Storage in the United States is based on your consent (Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR).
- Withdrawing consent: you can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing privacy@goldkind.media. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it.
- Your rights: you have the right to access, correct and delete your information, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format.
- Complaints: you can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work.
- Our identity: the full name and postal address of our founder are available on request at privacy@goldkind.media.
Do Not Track
Because we do not track visitors across websites, our site works the same whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to our waitlist. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any dispute relating to it will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona. This does not limit any rights you have under mandatory data protection laws, including the GDPR.
